Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds ( am callinggg all the nerdss, please stand up..hehe). Chances are you'll end up working for one.

3 in 1 Saturday

I must say this weekend was the most eventful or should I say meaningful, so far.

Saturday – 3 in 1
One of the most valuable lessons i learnt: Is the ability to seek forgiveness and accepting it. Also, the willingness to care and accept him/her in whatever circumstances despite their peculiarity and differences in style & personality.
Little by little, that is what gonna give friendship (or watever-ship) depth and meaning.

U know, when you are so used and fond to someone, even the slightest mistake will annoy you. Not that u hate them more than others but it is your fondness that make u really sensitive. To make it worse, it is reflected in your over exaggerating action, something that u will be regretting later. I hate the after-feeling most!!!

Anyway, I am glad that the unknown silent was over. We (me n my friend) are still pondering what actually went wrong?
Doesn’t matter babe, coz am happy that we finally got the opportunity to talk about it. Just to let u know, letting it all out yesterday was such a relievingggggggggg feeling. I felt really good and am happy.

On a different note, i am very happy that we (me & Steph) finally made the time for a quick breakfast, after weeks of delaying and ffk-ing..Hehe my bad I know.
But babe, your surprise is always turn out to be ‘not- so-surprise’…no fun la like this..hehe. Next time, sharpen your acting skills k.
And, seeing someone from the office is definitely not a surprise for me….duh :P

I know, learning a new thing is always good but working till night on Saturday??? Erghhhhhhh NOoooooooooo! I’ve been dreading to come and was complaining since days earlier, Belum cuba belum tahu kan???
The car clinic session turn out to be really informative and knowledgeable! Am glad that I was there for all 3 sessions, it was definitely a new thing to learn.

See, in one day, 3 good things actually happened. *sigh*
How can i not be happy??
And, it is still Sunday!!! SUPERB..

p/s: Having a handful of loved ones is the most valuable possession one can has!

By a lot. I mean, Kristin is quite lovely. But not even the loveliest girl can really pull off something that seems to be inspired by my bedroom's window treatments. Like, I'm pretty sure that under-dress has a tiny pull-tag attached to it, so you can raise and lower it at will. And we all know how I feel about anything which transforms your crotch into a be-curtained stage: very negatively. Your womanly delights are not a play. (Okay, maybe The Vagina Monologues. And the play I'm currently working on myself, Try It, You'll Like It: The Britney Spears Story. But that's it! )

Even though I do not get involved directly in the development or the launch event for PROTON newbie, myself, as a Malaysian and Protonian feel so proud of PROTON.
And I think all of us should!

For everyone that has poured their heart and soul in the project, congratulation for the success! The thin line between chuck and Nate!

Be ready, its gonna be quite a long post :)

As usual, I cant’t stop blogging and talking about Gossip Girl every time I finished watching it (lucky I have someone that is so into it as well..Best part is, It is HE not SHE..ha ha ha).

So yesterday, it was the finale episode 13. Very good and deep story line on values of friendship between Serena & Blair. The best episode by far. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the new GG will come back sooner.Pleasee! Judging from all 13 episodes, here my mix thoughts on the characters:

The most anticipated voice: Gossip Girl herself, while we may never know who she is, but the moment I hear her voice, I got all excited for the juicy news that she is bringing; with her most nonchalant tone.

The wannabe character (ewww please): Little Jenny.
She is so unreal and trying toooo hard to be accepted in the high societies. Common lil Jenny, face the fact that u will never ever be in the same social ladder with the rest of the Girls..be truthful to urself just like ur brother and u will gain all the respect..!!

Ahhhhhh but gotta admit that her sassiness is almost good in this episode! Watch out, I reckon she gonna be the next Queen B, and dating Nate?? Oh Noo…

The safest character (boring and dry sometime): Dan
Blah blah blah, Dan is the smartest in the school, the perfect boyfriend and the most ethical of all……But nothing about him that excite me really except for his relationship with hottielicious Serena.
BUT uttering ‘I love u’ scene was a little over the top..Hehheheh but Its kinda sweet tho.I sms Boy’f right after the scene..ooooooooowww gediks i know!

The most honest character: Serena
Yes she was the Bitch before but hey, at least she faced all her past and go on with life, with mission of being a better girl. Most importantly, she is so authentic and real. What u see is what u get with her. ‘So what if I’m XXXXX...ayada yada yada’, I am still the same Serena and like me for me!! Yayyy u go Serena..

The most exciting character: Chuck
U might hate him to bitz but let’s face it, GG will be so darn boring without all the conflict that he initiated and stirred! Heheheheh and I like it most when he’s being mean.Ouchhh! But comparing Blair to his father’s Arabian horses???? Too much Chuck!

U gotta to be tough dealing with Evil Chuck. Too bad, people with great influence from a high-profile family do get all those benefits and can make their way through. Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn’t harm others kan??

The most kesian character: Nate *Yawn*
Yes he is the most good looking one with such a beautiful eyes, have all the money, dating Queen B but I wouldn’t want someone that is so emotionally instable like him.. HA HA HA..Kesian..Even worse, if he date lil Jenny in the next new episodes.Ur life ain’t getting better!!!!

So, this is what happend when i'm so in love with something. I tend to get overly emotional and overwhelmed...and over react sumtime!!!

Anyway, i am sure you will be missing a lot about the show now that it’s gone for a while…Question that will keep on bugging me…Is Jenny good or horrible? Will Serena & Dan be happy together for the vast differences? How about Chuck & Blair…And the super cute dad Rufus??

Hmmmm can't wait!!!!

Expectation

All parents have dreams and expectations for their children. Be it behaviors that they want to exude or certain performance that need to be achieved; be it academically or any leisure activities for that matter!

Just like parents, we girl’f have expectation on their boy’f too..hehe! :P

Am not talking about expectation to buy me all those pressie or expectation to be treated like a princess (Sorry, that will never be my forte); but mine is more of a healthy and constructive expectation..ahemm :P

YEAP..expectation to continue and pursue his die-hard passion for motorsport! And my expectation for you (AZM) is to upgrade yourself to a higher class of karting or drifting or any other passtime ur into! U can’t be stuck in K3 forever just because you are too busy working (or dating ;P) kan??!!! SO yeah finally you made it to one class higher! GOOD JOB and keep it goin!

No matter what sports or hobby that you are into, it is always good to have your own personal time to do what u like most! Better still if u can make money out of it!

p.s: Great thing is I have a brother and a boyf’ that are so into their favorite pastime (and boss that is also into the same hobby ..AYooo); Me, sis in law and niece on the other hand enjoy shopping and reading the MOST. Great isn’t it ?!! So we girls can do our stuff in peace.

The Game Plan

When was your last time having tears rolling down your cheeks for a soppy sad scene in a movie? Mine was yesterday night at Cineplex, watching the Game Plan! I cried not once but several times, no kidding. Sedih la :(

At first I was a bit cynical about this movie as Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock is just so-so in my record. Never a big fan of him. But after half an hour of watching, I found it to be really entertaining. The cast members were awesome and had me cracking up. I have always had a soft spot for any movies or drama that contain daddy-daughter relationship in it. Game plan managed to twist the storyline from very hilarious plot to a very touching father-daughter scene.

SOoo many good family and life values in it. All in all, I’d give this movie 4 bedazzled game-winning footballs. I strongly recommend this movie and you will be pleased, am sure!

January 2008

It is now 12 days pass 2008 and i still couldn’t stop thinking and wondering how 2008 gonna be; with lots of changes ahead and happenings through out the year. I have also realized some changes in my personal lifestyle. To really think of it, it’s kinda noticeable.

For the past few months,

1. Instead of focusing on career struggle, I allow myself to relax (a lottt). I am still productive, but just less stressed, and not tempted to get involved or even to know activities that seem sneaky or politically-ill in the work place. I do what I gotta do and be home happily after:)

Of course chaos will periodically erupt around us, I ensure to appreciate the fine line between other’s drama and the serenity within me.

2. Refocus on some meaningful relationships, be it family or friends. I insist on being around people that I genuinely care about and let the faux friends in their own personal life.

3. Now that certain events have been completed and fulfilled, its time to exhale for a short while before welcoming the challenges ahead :).
My schedule and things-to- do may still be unpredictable, but fortunately with lots of rest and love, it ensures my inner-compass is balanced, secured and on point.

4. And the most apparent shift of all, I don’t really fancy clubbing or night activities as much as I do last time. Just by mentioning the venue itself will surely excite me last time, but now..hmmmm not really actually! Try me :P
Oh well, like I once mentioned to someone, it’s either age is catching up or I just had enough of them or i am just hitting the slow-phase temporarily now. Whatever it is, I would still loveeee to go once in a while, especially with a good music and a good company to go with it!

I am happy being like this now and enjoying myself to bits at home; as long as good lunch and dinner is served and few magazines in between :) AM all good!

p/s: Talking about magazines, i just found a place in Amcorp Mall that sell 2/3 months backdated international magazines i.e. bazaar, in-style, elle, auto/desigining related magazines, etc etc at such an inexpensive price.

Ok i just couldn't get enough of her; especially for her cheeckiness. Wait till u can properly talk, Aunty Reny will bullyyyy u ;P That is it :D

GENJI

There are many…many …many sushi bars sprouting up all the over the city and being a Japanese food lover myself, I couldn’t find any super delicious sashimi then in Genji Japanese Restaurant at Hilton. So delicious, no kidding. So having the chance to makan again would definitely a go-go for me :D or any makan-makan invitation in that matter ;P

Their superb fresh cuts of tuna, salmon, butterfish and octopus sashimi are just so mouthwatering. Trust me, even a sashimi-adverse like me is now a converted fan especially here.

If u still can’t go for the raw items, then I would suggest u to try their popular hot/grilled dishes which include the famous unagi kabayaki (grilled eel), my all time favorite deep fried soft shell crabs, fried tofu, mix vegetables and garlic fried rice..heheheh that would be my must have selection.

Finally to cap off the meal, you can try the green tea ice cream with red beans. Just tried a full-spoon of it yesterday but it seems to be very popular here. So u may want to try that as well.
